| * First and foremost, allow me to clearly state that I am no trained or licensed practitioner utilizing stones and crystals in any healing manner whatsoever (at least, not yet!). I have always been drawn to stones, found their beauty alone enchanting. However, once I had been introduced to crystals and the idea of their reputed "healing benefits", I began to read a bit - both online and off - as I wanted to know more about the subject. One can trace the lore back through aboriginal beginnings and use - it is fascinating. I will admit that I do believe in the healing properties of crystals that can be awakened by an individual's prayer/meditational intent. I do believe that our universal energies are subtly connected and this is how crystals' beneficial essence can be tapped. I have my own bracelets, earrings, and rings that I have felt better for wearing. Psychological effects? Perhaps. Here follows a bit of what I have gleaned - for your use or entertainment, however you see fit. |

| About the Crystals... Agate (blue lace) - this is the one to start with, when you've a need to get back to basics, to re-new, to re-charge, to get grounded... Amazonite - Also used in centering oneself and re-balancing. Helps you to re-focus & stabilize. Amethyst - My favorite, my birthstone... the healer's stone (ironic, or what?) for use in healing body, mind, soul. Aides in your connection to the Universe. Apache Tear - A beautiful grounding stone. Brings good fortune, aides in overcoming negative emotions. Aventurine (Green) - Believed to bring good fortune and to attract money! Aides in increasing one's perception and creativity. Chrysocolla - For balancing your emotions and lifting your spirits. Will ease heartache, is thought to attract love and sweet dreams. Bloodstone - (another favorite!) This is the Warrior Stone. Use it when facing obstacles, to overcome and calm your fears of real or perceived enemies. Aides in creating harmony within and guarding against disorders of the blood. Carnelian - Wards off evil, harmful thoughts, repells jealousies, animosities, and psychic attacks. It inspires bravery and courage (Might work really well with Bloodstone, don't you think?) Chalcedony (Blue) - This will lift the spirit, as well as encourage level-mindedness and a return to reality. Citrine - Use this stone to instill confidence in yourself, as well as to ward off fears that are generated from others suggestions or influence. Clear Quartz - In meditations & prayers, this stone is used to activate your pyschic abilities. You'll connect with the Universal Source of knowledge. Fluorite - Very useful in meditation, aides the consious mind and body in analyzing conditions and situations. Encourages rational thought and detachment in order to reach your highest level of intellectual, spiritual understanding. Garnet - (January's stone!) Wards off negativity, enhances courage and self-confidence, guards against depression and melancholy. Hematite - Grounding. Aides in psychic development. |
