| Feng Shui principles and practice have been around for thousands of years, its interpretive interweaving with the world of nature brought to our Western shores from China. Through the passing centuries, its interpretation has evolved and become more complex from its original agricultural and astronomical purposes, to incorporate philosophies of today's alternative wave of spiritualism. Though admittedly no expert, upon moving to my new home (utilizing a favorite instructional book!) I brought a bit of Feng Shui into the "decoration" as I placed furniture in just the right spot, added a plant here or there, hung my favorite gong and capiz shell windchimes. And felt immediately better, somehow... Physically, emotionally, psychologically - spiritually - Feng Shui principles put into practice do have their effect. I believe so. I believe we could all benefit from bringing a bit of Feng Shui into our homes and lives. |
