| With every scented candle lit, joss stick of incense burned, or that favorite essential oil warmed using either fragrance lamp or aroma burner, you are bringing the principles of aromatherapy into your home. The use of essential oils is well-known to lift the spirits, calm anxiety, to aide in meditations and even to assist in study (homework!!). Essential oils, and herbs, have been used throughout history medicinally in treating all sorts of ailments from the common cold to (at least the easing of) symptoms of a variety of what we now refer to as "childhood" diseases... From head ache to tooth ache to poultices for bronchitus and croup, not to mention menstrual and childbirth related difficulties.
