| I paint, I write, I do craftwork. I study herbs and oils and other facets of aromatherapy and its principles (and practice) in pursuit of certification. I work on some aspect of my crochet and knitting daily. In college - both before and during early marriage - I studied Merchandising, emphasis on Fashion Design and Illustration, minoring in Fine Art. Though family obligations kind of put a temporary hold on my formal educational pursuits, I never stopped researching and studying on my own time at any and every opportunity. Books are a beloved treasure in my home, believe me. Art, sewing and crafts, History, Theology, Herbology and Aromatherapy - all are favorites and are well represented in my collection... as are my beloved favorite fiction authors! |

| My name is Pamela Arriaza and, yes, I am the owner and creator of SweetPea & Violets Aromatherapy Boutique. SweetPea & Violets began as a line of original knit and crocheted hat & scarf sets. It has since evolved into this website and internet store that you see before you. It has become the idea, the craft, the products produced (by me and others) and sold on this website and those other venues that continue to be explored throughout this new year of 2010. |

| SweetPea & Violets actually began at home, with hand-crafts - the knits & crochet sets and other artwork that I created at any opportunity. When I went to work, after a lifetime of stay-at-home-momhood, I had opportunity to take my craft with me and sell it within that store environment. SmellzGood Boutique and The Blissful Soul that followed - both formerly located in Eagle Rock, CA - were instrumental in the development of not only my needlework , but those first forays into learning about aromatherapy and the (fine art of) blending & use of essential oils. Through books offered in the store and hands-on selling of those same oils and herbs, I became familiar with the healing benefits of those products. While at that remarkable little store, I also had opportunity to come into contact with the inspirational writings of Louise Hay, Dr. Wayne Dyer & others, writings that affected me in the most exciting, positive affirming way... That took me along a path that led to undertaking theological & metaphysical studies in pursuit of a degree. Which has brought me to where I am now, with this website business and its subsiquent growth & changes implemented within these past couple years ... and I continue onward with more changes and, hopefully, more growth. |

| Future Plans... |
| Right now, plans involve making the very most of this SweetPea & Violets website and internet store. That includes adding new product, better images and better copy, of course. But, I also am very interested (and determined) to bring a variety of informational resources to site vistitors, as well. I continue the e-newsletter, post to Pami's Page blog (as regularly as I can get to - not as easy to accomplish as one might think!) and have joined a variety of worthwhile online communities. I do still dream and plan of that brick-n-mortar store front of my own. I'll keep all posted on my progress with that! |
